Welcome to the NBA Macro Minute! This is a short article focused on macro environments and trending players. The goal here is to identify easy spots to focus or remove from slates and make DFS a bit easier.

Macro NBA Defensive Stats
- Washington is giving up 1.12 Fantasy points per min, slightly ahead of Chicago at 1.11
- The worst matchup is with Orlando who is holding opponents to .91 FPPM
- Miami continues to give up the most shots per minute and by far the most 3s per minute
Macro NBA Combo Stats
- Best game environment is WAS/MIL by a bit, but it’s not by a significant amount
- Worst is DET/ATL at .97 FPPM combined and neither team allowing over 1.00 FPPM
- The most undervalued is going to be MIA/LAC
People love attacking WAS and CHI, so naturally we will see ownership on MIL and ORL. I think MIL is fine, if not consolidated, but the ORL/CHI environment is shakey. ORL slows the game down a lot and nerfs shot rates, I think people will jam that spot and it’ll be a bit of a mistake. MIA/LAC is a better spot overall with MIA pushing the pace and forcing the other team to keep up.
Trending Players
- Egor DEMON
- Handful of midranged guys who are projected fine but have been pushing well past those medians in the recent term
- Cam Whitmore the main value option, especially with no Alex Sarr
Just off the cuff here it seems like the pricing is… fine? For this slate. Nothing jumping off the page. I would need to look into the gamelogs and rotations for NAW and Wiggins, Kyshawn and Whitmore are both immediately on radar with no Sarr and increased opportunities.
If you want to research these dudes yourself, go over to the gamelogs tool and look into their rotations and performances!
