Welcome to the NBA Macro Minute! This is a short article focused on macro environments and trending players. The goal here is to identify easy spots to focus or remove from slates and make DFS a bit easier.

Macro NBA Defensive Stats
- UTA and CHI are allowing the most FPPM per minute at 1.08 and 1.07 respectivally.
- DET and CHA allow the fewest FPPM and are playing each other. You can honestly scratch that game off the list unless value opens up with late scratches.
- MIL and ORL is a sneaky good spot worth targeting in MME sets and larger GPPs.
Macro NBA Combo Stats
- UTA/MIA should be a fiesta which is also reflected in them having the 2nd highest game total on the slate.
- BKN/CHI is about just as good a game environment as UTA/MIA with a lot of value options on the BKN side. CHI is showing modest ownership but likely being undervalued here.
- Current projected ownership is high on SAC but it’s worth noting that the models think the NOP/SAC is a straight mid environment.
Trending Players
While the game environment may not stand out, the value options on the Kings absolutely do. Given their pricing they are still fine chalk plays but focus on the guys with ceiling. If Jalen Johnson misses Jock Landale is strong midrange option. Lastly, pivoting to Nets/Bulls value make sense in large field.

Portfolio Analysis Exposures
When you run 1,000 lineups into the portfolio manager and do some filtering, you end up with the above results. Some notes:
- Jalen is a great spend up option if he plays, but pay attention to injury news.
- Value Nets and Bulls are definitely in play, while UTA/CHA/NOP look like decent spots to take some midrange options.
- Your core tonight is going to be something like SAC/BKN/CHI value + Jokic
