Welcome to the NBA Macro Minute! This is a short article focused on macro environments and trending players. The goal here is to identify easy spots to focus or remove from slates and make DFS a bit easier.

Macro NBA Defensive Stats
- WAS remains an abomination of a franchise and is allowing a slate worst 1.10 FPPM to opponents.
- ORL, PHO, ATL, and BOS are allowing the fewest FPPM of the teams playing tonight and they are playing each other – ATL/ORL, and BOS/PHO
- There are a ton of bad teams worth attacking tonight – DAL, BKN, MEM, and CHI.
Macro NBA Combo Stats
- CHI/MEM should be fireworks and a priority for your roster builds tonight.
- BKN/POR and NOP/DAL are the games to look at for some pivots or contrarian options. The combined rates are right on par with CHI/MEM and WAS/GSW
- ATL/ORL and BOS/PHO aren’t necessarily full fades, but you probably want to limit your exposure to those games.
Trending Players
Despite the Orlando and Phoenix games being the two worst game environments tonight, there is still some ceiling value to be had with guys like da Silva, WCJ, and Jalen Green at their prices. Aside from that the list is full of GSW, MEM, and CHI which aligns with the top game environments as well. Notably, Giddey looks like a priority spend up option.

Portfolio Analysis Exposures
When you run 1,000 lineups into the portfolio manager and do some filtering, you end up with the above results. Some notes:
- Memphis projected ownership is insanely low relative to their exposure rates which is giving them massive edge.
- A few guys from POR, BKN, and NOP show up but not a ton. Going heavier on those teams/games in GPPs is viable.
- Your core tonight is something like Clayton/Giddey/Porzingis + an additional Grizzly or Warrior
