Macro NBA Defensive Stats

  • The Nets and Wizards are allowing the most fantasy points per minute tonight at 1.02., but the Kings and Pelicans are not too far behind.
  • DET is the lowest at .89 which is one of lowest we’ve seen so far this season, this is also reflected in the lowest Vegas total on the slate.
  • Pelicans and Thunder looks like an interesting GPP spot to target tonight.

Macro NBA Combo Stats

  • As noted above, NOP/OKC top the combo stat standings underscoring that game as a solid target for DFS.
  • Conversely, DEN looks like a clear avoid spot tonight.
  • WAS/POR is another interesting spot for fantasy production, especially considering both sides should see condensed rotations due to injuries.

Trending Players

Several Wizards show up near the top the trending ceiling table as well as a couple value centers in Mitch Robinson and Dylan Cardwell. While the models like the Wizards median/ceiling combo it is worth pointing out that they are still a bad basketball team so don’t tilt too hard.

If you want to research these dudes yourself, go over to the gamelogs tool and look into their rotations and performances!

Portfolio Analysis Exposures

When you run 1,000 lineups into the portfolio manager and do some filtering, you end up with the above results. Some notes:

  • Grayson Allen and Bobby Portis look like strong midrange options even with high projected ownership
  • Suns overall are popping and Brooks is a high edge play at low-ownership which is perfect for GPPs
  • The midrange looks particularly strong tonight likely leading to more balanced builds unless some additional value opens up.
