Welcome to the NBA Macro Minute! This is a short article focused on macro environments and trending players. The goal here is to identify easy spots to focus or remove from slates and make DFS a bit easier.

Macro NBA Defensive Stats
- CHI is somehow getting even worse defensively and is now up to allowing 1.11 FPPM to opposing teams.
- The Hornets are allowing the fewest FPPM of any team on the slate and also get a good matchup vs the Pacers. HOU and ORL are allowing the next fewest FPPM and are playing each other.
- In addition to CHI, WAS/DAL/IND/POR/SAC/ATL are all viable spots to target tonight. This is probably a good MME slate.
Macro NBA Combo Stats
- CHI/POR is the top game environment tonight featuring to bad defenses from FPPM allowed perspective.
- DAL/SAC and ATL/WAS are two additional games worth targeting, just be mindful of exposure to the tanking Jazz and woefully bad Kings.
- Although the IND/CHA game doesn’t standout at face value, it is a good spot for the Hornets so feel free to fire up their high usage guys. ORL/HOU seems like an easy fade tonight.
Trending Players
Once again, and per usual with post-ASB NBA, there is a ton of ceiling value. NOP stands out as they face the tanking Jazz and have a slightly shorter rotation with some guys out. There are also multiple Heat, Hawks, and Spurs still questionable which will impact some of these players.

Portfolio Analysis Exposures
When you run 1,000 lineups into the portfolio manager and do some filtering, you end up with the above results. Some notes:
- Tyrese Maxey is the only spend up that shows up with an exposure rate over 20%. That isn’t to say you shouldn’t play a spend up but none stand out as priority over the others.
- The exposures are a mirror image of the top game environments tonight with focus on POR and DAL.
- Your core tonight is something like Clingan + another Blazer, Kuminga, and Maxey.
