Welcome to the MLB Macro Minute! This is a short article focused on macro environments and trending teams. The goal here is to identify easy spots to focus or remove from slates and make DFS a bit easier.

Macro Pitcher Stats
- Cease is the top True AVG pitcher on the slate but gets a rough matchup versus the Yankees. Likewise, Canning gets to face the defending world champs. This leaves Misiorowski, Sheehan, and Roupp as the best of the top 5.
- Lopez, Kay, and Falter are the bottom 3 arms in regards to True AVG. This makes LAA, SEA, and BOS all worth a look for hitters.
- Outside of the top 5, Warren, Detmers, and Brown are all additional pitchers you can include in your pool.
Macro Team Stats
- The Dodgers are the top team in the scoring percentages although they burned the world yesterday with exactly 0 runs. Alas, they still are the Dodgers.
- If you have sworn off Dodgers stacks, COL, CHW, and ARI are your next best options.
- As expected the Yankees look atrocious versus the top arm in Dylan Cease. STL, TOR, ATH, and SDP are other team you can simply ‘x’ out if you are playing limited entries tonight.
Trending Teams
The Cubs, Whitesox, Dodgers, and DBacks are once again the top trending teams tonight and aligned with the scoring percentages other than the Cubs. The top trending matchups belong to SEA, CHW, MIN, and TEX. All things considered the Whitesox look like a priorities for SE. Once you start getting to multiple lineups you can expand to teams like ARI and SEA. COL also looks like a strong option in any format.

Portfolio Analysis Exposures
When you run 1,000 lineups into the portfolio manager and do some filtering, you end up with the above results. Some notes:
- Sheehan/Misiorowski is the clear and obvious SP pairing on DK. Ranger Suarez is a viable option if you need to save some salary.
- As noted, the Whitesox are a priority in all formats.
- BOS and LAA are the other two stacks that show up with high exposure. LAA has the best matchup on the slate, and BOS currently sits atop the ceiling ROO.
- It’s worth noting that despite being a top team in scoring percentages, stack ROO, and trending, the Dodgers don’t show up much here. This is in part due to their salary and the money being better allocated towards pitcher tonight with no real value arms.
