Macro NBA Defensive Stats

  • UTA is allowing the most fantasy points per minute at 1.09 which actually is a decrease from where they’ve been. Regardless, they still stink and are a prime spot to attack.
  • Just as the Jazz have consistently been giving up the most FPPM, the Pistons have been giving up the fewest and remain a brutal fantasy matchup.
  • CHI, WAS, ATL, and DAL are all good matchups for opposing teams.

Macro NBA Combo Stats

  • UTA/ATL should be a fantasy gold mine making Jalen Johnson a premier spend up option. Additionally, because the Jazz players aren’t particularly cheap it’s keeping their ownership suppressed.
  • CHI will be chalk but they’re hard to get away from. Their combined FPPM is 2nd highest on the slate and they only have 8 players available. Consider correlating with a lower-owned TOR player to offset the ownership.
  • The Spurs/Mavs game is another good game environment but is getting overlooked. This is a great spot for large-field GPPs.

Trending Players

It was mentioned above that UTA was coming in under-owned despite the matchup due to their pricing, but 2 of their midrange options show up near the top of the ceiling table. Keep in mind Huerter was traded so it’s notable that only 2 Bulls show up as strong ceiling value plays tonight. Lastly, Cooper Flagg looks like a very strong option tonight.

Portfolio Analysis Exposures

When you run 1,000 lineups into the portfolio manager and do some filtering, you end up with the above results. Some notes:

  • Nukic is popping up but pay attention to starting lineups, if he’s not starting just swap him with Filipowski.
  • The priority Bulls look like Kawamura, Patrick Williams, and Buzelis (and Sexton if playing and not on a limit)
  • Your core tonight is going to be something like 2 Bulls, Flagg, and a Jazz midrange player.
