Welcome to the NBA Macro Minute! This is a short article focused on macro environments and trending players. The goal here is to identify easy spots to focus or remove from slates and make DFS a bit easier.

Macro NBA Defensive Stats

- WAS, DAL, MIL are the worst on the slate in regards to FPPM allowed. BKN and MEM are right behind them.
- The Celtics are allowing the least amount FPPM at woefully low 0.87
- PHI remains shorthanded and is on the 2nd night of a B2B and are also worth targeting.
Macro NBA Combo Stats

- PHI and MEM is a great spot to target tonight. Both teams are short handed, allowing high FPPM, and have guys with decent ceiling value.
- SAS/BOS should be a phenomenal real life game, but an absolutely brutal DFS game.
- MIA and DET deserve some looks in good game environments versus bottom tier teams.
Trending Players

The trending table had to be extended today as only 4 players on the slate have a ceiling value over 7. This essentially points to the efficiency of the player pricing relative to the ceilings. That being said there are still some standout options in the midrange such as Kuminga, Sheppard, and Queta. Unless some late news break value seems a bit lacking on tonight’s slate.
If you want to research these dudes yourself, go over to the gamelogs tool and look into their rotations and performances!
Portfolio Analysis Exposures

When you run 1,000 lineups into the portfolio manager and do some filtering, you end up with the above results. Some notes:
- Heavy exposure on MIA versus this abomination that is the Wizards. Pay attention to injury news as Herro was downgraded earlier today.
- Jaylen Brown looks like a solid option if targeting the SAS/BOS game. While the matchup isn’t necessarily great, targeting high-usage players in close spreads is always viable.
- Your core tonight is something like Bam + 1 MIA and a 1×1 MEM/PHI correlation
